Derek Ridgers is one of todays most influential photographers. Over four decades Ridgers has captured the beautiful and the damned in his ongoing portrayal of youth culture and style. Since the 1970’s, his iconic portraits have captured the heart of British subculture – from early skinheads and the risings of Punk, marked with his iconic book ‘London Youth, 78/87’; through the 1980’s subterranean club-life, photographing nightclubs such as Blitz, Billy’s and Skin II; and his much-loved work with the late 90’s music press such as NME, shooting candid portraits of musicians such as Nick Cave, The Beastie Boys and The Rolling Stones.

Derek Ridgers Editions presents a series of Ridgers iconic prints for collectors and photography followers. Our aim is to celebrate the Ridgers archive, and preserve the heritage of his iconic contribution to photography, music and fashion cultures which retain a legacy worldwide.
